The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan  
Jordan is an exciting place to study Bible as it boasts a rich Biblical history. Numerous events documented in the Old Testament took place in this Middle Eastern country. Some of the most well know Bible stories actually took place in the common rugged terrain, even in the capital city of Amman. Biblical Jordan saw Jacob wrestling with God at Peniel, Moses view the Promised Land from Mt. Nebo,Nebo, and Uriah the Hittite die in battle at Rabbah now known as Amman . This air of spiritual significance combined with the amazing mountainous landscape allows the scholar, student, or tourist to see and feel the archaic yet increasingly modern contrast of daily Jordanian life.  Over the last 50 years, and under the wise and well respected leadership of His  Majesty the late King Hussein, Jordan has been ushered into a modern fast-developing country and one of the most politically stable countries in the Middle East.  Jordan is immensely proud of this fact, and the legacy of moderation and stability continuing with His Majesty King Abdullah II. 

 

Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary

Location:Amman, Jordan - population 1.9 million
Enrollment:JETS average annual enrollment - 50 full time students, in addition to students in extension and special studies. Approximately 1/3 of the student body are women 
Students:JETS has enrolled students from Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon,   Syria, The United States, North Africa, The Gulf and Palestine.
Graduates Serve:    In 14 Arab countries

Accreditation:   

JETS programs are not accredited by the Jordanian Government.  However, they are accerdited by three international accrediting agencies.  In late September 2007, JETS underwent evaluation by a joint team of three accrediting agencies (the Middle East Association for Theological Education (MEATE), the European Evangelical Accrediting Association (EEAA), and the Asia Theological Association (ATA). 

The evaluation process resulted in the following programs being fully accredited for the next five years (2007 – 2012):

       1. Certi. in Biblical Studies

       2. Dip. in Biblical Studies

       3. B. Th. in Biblical Studies

       4. M.A.B.S. 

       5. M. Div.  

Also, the following programs to be provisionally accredited for the next five years (2007 – 2012):

      6. Th.M. in Biblical and Theological Studies

       JETS is a full member of the EEAA.

عبر الخمسين سنة الماضية، تحت القيادة الحكيمة لجلالة الملك السابق حُسين، تم تعريف الأردن على أنه بلد سريع التطور وواحد من أكثر بلاد الشرق الأوسط استقراراً من الناحية السياسية، ويعتز الأردن بهذه الحقيقة ويستمر هذا الإستقرار تحت حكم جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني.
 من جبل موآب رأى موسى أرض الموعد، وأوريا الحثي مات في معركة ربة التي تعرف اليوم بعمان.  هذا الجو بمعناه الروحي الجليل الى جانب المناظر الطبيعية الجبلية تمكن كل من العالم والطالب أو السائح أن يرى ويلمس المواقع القديمة مع الحياة اليومية المفعمة بالنشاط التي يعيشها الأردنيين  
يعتبر الأردن بلد شيَق لدراسة الكتاب المقدس كونه بلد غني بالمواقع الكتابية التاريخية.  الكثير من الأحداث المدونة في العهد القديم حدثت في أراضي الشرق الأوسط، فبعض القصص الكتابية المشهورة حدثت في بعض أراضي الأردن ومنها العاصمة عمان، تصارع يعقوب مع الله في منطقة فنيئيل.

المنتسبين: 50 طالب متفرغ، وعدد من الطلاب الغير متفرغين. 1/3 الطلاب إناث

 الاعتماد: رغم ان برامج الهيئة الانجيلية الثقافية ليست معتمدة من الحكومة الأردنية، الا انها معتمدة من قبل ثلاثة معاهد دولي.  في أيلول 2007 خضعت الهيئة الى عملية تقييم من قبل فريق يضم أشخاص من ثلالثة معاهد الاعتماد، رابطة الشرق الأوسط للتعليم الاهوتي، التجمع الأوروبي الانجيلي للإعتماد والرابطة الآسيوية للإعتماد.  وبناءً على التقييم حصلت الهيئة الانجيلية الثقافية على إعتماد كامل للخمس سنوات القادمة2007-2012للبرامج التالية

شهادة في الأسفار الكتابية

دبلوم في الأسفار المقدسة

بكالوريوس تخصص في الدراسات الكتابية

ماجستير في الاهوت

كما انه قد تم بشكل مشروط، إعتماد البرامج التالية للسنوات الخمس القادمة 2007-2012

ماجستير عال في الدراسات الكتابية واللاهوتية

ملاحظة لسياسية عدم التمييز بين للطلبة

تمنح الهيئة الإنجيلية الثقافية الطُلاب من كل عرق، لون، موطن أو أمة، كامل الحقوق الامتيازات والبرامج والنشاطات العامة المُسجلة أو المتاحة للطلاب في الهيئة.  لا يوجد أي تمييز عرقي، لون، جنس وقومية من حيث سياسات التسجيل الأكاديمي، سياسات القبول، المنح والقروض، والبرامج الرياضية وأي برامج تعليمية أخرى تُقدمها.
